Poem on Purity/Celibacy, by Sagar
Read like a poem/song for best enjoyment ;)
Written (obviously) by: Sagar Sonker, based on his life.
Nothing to wink;
When I say no to marriage,
'He must be gay' is what people think...
They are no wrong, as the world is set,
With vices all over, we all have met;
With greed and ego, anger and lust,
They don't want anything else,
but sex is a must...
I smile at people, empathize,
Their ignorance is their only prize;
I ignore them, their thoughts are fine,
For all I live, is the life of mine...
Humanity progressed and brought us good,
But we failed to realize the ill junk food;
Man empowered, controlled all things,
But lost so badly, couldn't control his mood...
From deepest of oceans to the highest of skies,
Computers could answer all whens, whats, and whys;
Man discovered everything, outside and beyond,
But lost his inner-self, and couldn't correspond...
In search of happiness, we do all things,
We fail to realize what we actually want;
Nothing outside can help it bring,
Of your possessions, how much ever you flaunt...
We look for money, fun, and sex,
On picnics, outings, lots of treks;
We look for happiness in someone,
We find it not, in just no one...
God came down and told me once,
'You are my child, of a million-th ounce,
I will give you all you ask,
Remember me, that's your only task...'
I wondered deep if He is true,
Wondering if I could really do;
I asked Him if He fulfilled me,
With every relation, old and new...
He replied smiling, 'Yes, I will',
'Will satisfy your every will';
Then I was glad and out of pain,
And then He showered love no less than rain...
Now I wondered why they need one,
To live together or just have fun?
I got no answer from within,
'Coz God now lived in my every skin...
I need no partner just for fun,
As I am now with that only One,
If ever I get married, just like you,
It will be something special, I tell you...
No lust involved, no emotional pain,
No physical bond, no energy drain,
But this not means I can't do things,
For all these years, I've flown like flings...
God gifted me wisdom, high and bright,
He made me think what's wrong what's right;
So, don't think I may not do things,
It's a pure heart now, with all new wings...
But if I don't marry, don't get me wrong,
Else I will sing again this entire song...
I am being serious,
Nothing to wink;
When I say no to marriage,
'He must be gay' is what people think...
